Principal's Message
Welcome to Barbara Webster Elementary School, home of the Bobcats! At Barbara Webster Elementary School, our dedicated staff strives daily to nurture, inspire and educate every one of our children. Our team approach to teaching and learning encourages the academic, social and emotional development of the whole child.
At Barbara Webster we recognize that children learn best when they feel accepted and safe. For this reason, we place a strong emphasis on the social-emotional health of all of our students. We understand that children need guidance when they make appropriate and inappropriate decisions. We always seek to teach rather than punish, and we look for every opportunity to praise!
Barbara Webster Elementary is a warm and nurturing learning environment. The entire school community holds high academic and social expectations for our students, and our students have experienced success through high quality instruction, careful student monitoring, and support of students’ emotional, social and academic needs. We boast a robust intervention system at our school, so students can learn at their level. We also offer unique opportunities at our school in the form of a school wide yoga and meditation program, a top tier PE program run by a professional coach and high quality yearly performing arts performances.
At Barbara Webster Elementary School, we recognize the important role parents play in their child’s success in school and in life! Parents and community members are encouraged to participate and become involved at our school. We actively ask for your support, ideas and suggestions. Our incredible PTO group, The Bobcat Boosters, organizes and funds study trips and activities for our students. I encourage you to get acquainted and get involved in one of the many volunteer opportunities. You will find volunteer work to be enjoyable and rewarding.
